About Me
I was born and I've lived most of my life in Sundbyberg, a "small town" within Stockholm, Sweden. I spent the last ten years living in a cottage in the beautiful Stockholm archipelago, but have now moved into an apartment closer to the city but still near the woods and a lake. My heart has forever been divided between the lively city life and the calm of nature.
I've loved "beautiful images" and comics for as long as I can remember, due to my fathers comics collection I pretty much started reading comics like Spirou, Yoko Tsuno, Moomin, Franka etc as soon as I learned the alphabet. Many of the artists I loved when growing up are still a huge instpiration to me.
While comics and Animation was always very dear to me, It took me a long while to know that art was something I could be good at or wanted to do. Having always preferred black and white comics I stumbled into manga somewhere around 96-97, and that kickstarted my own creativity/drawing.
I got my first professional art gig in 2001, for a mobile game company (SPRAY), which helped pay for a wacom tablet. It made it much easier for me to start drawing digitally and that helped me start a career as a freelance artist.
Recently I've started to explore "real media", such as watercolour and gouache a bit too.
I had my comic debut due to the Music duo Aivi and Surasshu wanting me to draw a comic for their album The Black Box (2013). Comics is fun but it is also by far the most challenging of all art forms I've tried so far!
In my freelance work I've also dabbled in other areas, as an event photograper and helped out with concepting and brand building but also a lot of teaching. I've been holding classes and workshops all around the country for kids in all ages, even art teachers at one time for years. And through the years I've fallen more and more in love with teaching so in 2020 I applied to Konstfack (At Sweden’s largest university specializing in art, craft and design) and I'm currently studying full time to become a teacher in arts and media.
I can't wait to see what lies ahead on this new journey.
